Dr. Lakesha Williams, DNP, ANP-BC, NP-C Lakesha Williams was raised in Jacksonville, Fla., but moved to Georgia in 1996 after graduating from high school. She began her secondary education at Florida A&M University. While enrolled, she started at Archbold Memorial Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She graduated as an LPN before becoming a Registered Nurse.. While on the job at Archbold, Williams enrolled at Thomas University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2009. Having a thirst for knowledge and a passion for nursing, she continued her education, graduating from the University of South Alabama in 2011 as a Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Doctorate February 2016 and is currently in the midst of publishing her first book entitled “N.Y.P.D”, (Nursing your past and present dreams to LIFE) Dr. Williams works at Affinity Clinic in Tifton as the Lead Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine. She also teaches at Valdosta State University. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, singing, shopping, volunteering, and spending time with her husband, Henry Williams Jr. and their two daughters.. She is active in her community as well as abroad. She was recently the featured Speaker for the 5th World Congress Healthcare Conference in Toronto Canada. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority as well as Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. She is a certified NCLEX item writer for the Nursing Boards Test, and associate Editor for the Nursing & Healthcare International Journal. Despite all of her accomplishments, her motto remains; “I am only as good as my community”. This motto is a reflection of her passion for healthcare and for helping others.
